About Health Gems
Health Gems is a family run cottage industry run in a REAL cottage in the highlands of Scotland. All three children (2 now grown) have helped in various ways through the years from picking beads off the floor when they were wee (for 1p a bead!) to designing necklaces and earrings. The eldest is now doing jewellery design at University, and the youngest is starting to help me with the accounts.
We specialize in wearable jewellery, meaning jewellery that can be confidently worn every day not just on special occasions (though we do make that kind of jewellery too). This is because, as Emerson (the poet) said: ”Beauty is it’s own excuse for being…” and wearing something beautiful lifts the spirit any day of the week; but also because we believe in the healing qualities the stones have, and for them to have a beneficial effect they need to be worn constantly.
We are not a big business. We stand by our products, make them to last, and repair them if needed. We are into quality of life, quality jewellery, and satisfaction for all involved.
